As part of the empirical philosophy movement Eric Schwitzgebel from the University of California, Riverside is carrying out research on whether philosophers perceive ethics professors as more ethical.
Unsurprisingly thus far, ethicists tend to view ethicists as slightly more ethical, but general philosophers do not. The full results of this should be interesting, and a follow up on the ethicists as book thieves saga.
